works great
i ride my bike every day on trails paved road and this derailleur works great it handles the abuse of a extreme mountain bike i recommend this product

Shimano Derailleur
Make sure you purchase the correct mount. I needed a direct mount but failed to check before I purchased.

The part works just fine but had to modify it because I guess they changed the design since mine came out. It was the same part # but wasn't identical. I had to drill out the bolt hole to be able to use the same bolt.

Had a little trouble getting this guy on but after attaching it it has worked great. I was upgrading a ton of stuff on an old 1980s frame that I love and cannot seem to part with and since I was doing so much I went on the cheap for a lot of it and this derailleur works way nicer than the old worn out piece of garbage that was attached. Probably not for the hardcore biker but as a casual commuter it is great for me. I'm sure there's better stuff out there but would recommend this if you are looking for a cheap part.

put it on an old Raleigh smooth as silk.I ride 35 miles a day over country roads not 1 problem after 7 months
