I had little trouble installing this even though I had never installed a derailleur before. Seems to function perfectly so far. I've received several comments form friends that it looks very fancy or high-tech.

The instructions it came with here somewhat complicated as to how to fine-tune and adjust the derailleur once installed, but I think it would be much easier had I actually known what I was doing!

Good product, outstanding price.

This Rear Derailleur was a breeze to install and works well, I used it to replace the now obsolete RD-TX30 after years of rough use. The price was excellent and together with Shimano quality hard not to pick.

Note: I might consider Shimano's next model up (Acera) next time to see if it makes a difference as the cost difference in absolute terms is not much.
