This deailer was extremely essy to install and is eassy to adjust to your existing system. You do not need a lot of experience to install this item. It takes about 30 minutes from start to finish. It works smooth and quiet.

I installed this derailleur on an old 80's, friction shifting, Huffy mountain bike, along with a set of SIS Shimano 6-speed shifters and some SIS shifter cable housing. Now the old girl shifts quick and clean with every click just like a new bike. Mine didn't have the red cog like is pictured, but not a real concern.

It's not the best that money can buy and the instructions are not great due to the fact that they are generic for any model, but this worked better than some other gear that cost five times the money. 'Nuf said.

This is a fine entry level component. Easy to install and set up --- if you have a little experience, 30 minutes. There are many videos online made by bike mechanics to illustrate how to set up.

It arrived faster than the estimated time. Good Quality and looks good. Going on a GT but they used a different hanger so I have to modify a little. Not a big deal.

I paid for Prime overnight on Wednesday evening. Arrived Monday and the package was not marked overnight by UPS. This was for my daughters bike so she lost the weekend with it waiting.

Overall the product is good. Simple and affordable replacement. Works well no special tools needed (except maybe a chain break tool). Does not come with a replacement M10-1.0 bolt to attach to the frame. The original on the damaged derailleur would not fit. Too wide due to a small inner lip. I tried my local bike shop and Ace hardware. Nothing would work. I had to take a Dremel tool and widen the gap on the derailleur to accept the original mounting bolt. Not sure if this will apply to everyone but it was my issue.

Instructions are useless and even more confusing then helpful. Just You-tube and watch a video on replacing a rear derailluer and toss the included instructions.

Other then the overnight issue, the item came nicely packaged at a good price. Nice replacement for a kids bike.

FIRST AND FOR MOST THE SHIMANO RD-TX51 WAS VERY EASY TO USE TO REPLACE MY OLD ONE. SHIPPING WAS FAST AND THE PRODUCT WAS NEW LIKE THE SELLER SAID. THE SETTING ON IT WAS ALSO EASY TO USE. IT TOOK ME AMOST AN HOUR TO PUT IT ON AND RUN THE LINE, THIS INCLUDE TAKING CHAIN OFF, I ALSO NEED SOME NEW LINES SO I REPLACED THAT. BUT FOR THE MOST PART IT WAS EASY. I WILL BE BUYING FROM THIS SELLER AGAIN.

I just installed this derailler on my mountain bike and it works great, the cogs are twice the size of normal, it looks kind of funky.
