4.0 out of 5 stars Small shoes, March 15, 2009

This review is from: Shimano SH-MT32L Mountain Bike Shoes (Apparel)
This is a nice pair of mtb shoes, but they are very small. You must buy 2 sizes above the one of your regular shoes. I wear size 40 (somewhere between US 7 and 7.5) and that's the size I bought, but shimano size 40 happens to be US 6.7 and my feet end up with too tight a fit.

As I live in South America returning them is not possible (mailing them back costs more than the shoes themselves) but they might be a good fit for my fiancee as she wears 36.

5.0 out of 5 stars awesome!, September 29, 2011

These were my first clip shoes. They are really good. You can actually adjust the clip position for a perfect fit of your pedaling style. The shoes are really stiff to try to walk with them but once you get on the bike, that stiffness helps you when you are standing on your pedals because it gives you more support. They are very fashionable so they don't seem as bike shoes at all. I recommend these shoes for people that are getting involved into mountain and want to experience the next level on your rides. I've bought them with the two sides shimano pedals where one side is normal and the other is a clip.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Beginning MTB Shoes, February 25, 2011

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I have had these shoes for over a year and they have held up very well. For short rides (less then 10 miles) they are extremely comfortable, but when I start to get my distance up or if I am out in very rough terrain I do start to get a little pain in my feet. It is nothing that effects my ride or even bothers me that much though. These shoes are very stiff from heel to toe and while you can walk in them it is not the greatest experience. If I am planning on doing anymore walking then from my car to the trail I take a pair of tennis shoes. Velcro maybe faster and may hold better but I have had zero issues with these shoes becoming loose or the laces interfering with my ride. Being you save a good deal of money by getting tie ups I say the trade off is worth it. Once I got my cleats tighten down they have not loosened in the slightest.

I have recently be using these shoes for Indoor Cycling since our spin bikes have SPD clips. That have preformed very well with this as well. I have been experimenting with some alternate insoles and the comfort level has went up even more. So if you are having pain try a new insole just make sure they are pretty thin.
