5.0 out of 5 stars Max shines through October 9, 2004
Format:Audio CD
Max rules. Thats the bottom line here I mean just listen to the way this CD opens... my god! Piece process is awesome, and the Inkfish Remix of Trauma by Medway is superb.

What really sets him apart from others (in my opinion of course) is Max's ability to make bass lines the smoothest things you've ever heard. It's all about the bass line with this guy. Sure, it might not be quite as good Transport but this is better than 95% of everything I have heard this year.

3.0 out of 5 stars Average at best February 28, 2004
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
Supposedly Max has been working on this CD for god knows how long now. It is average at best.
I know he's a good DJ, I've heard him play in clubs numerous times, but this CD wasn't all that.

4.0 out of 5 stars Well Done! February 5, 2004
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
This latest compilation by Max Graham is a blend of hard house, progressive, and contains hints of techno throughtout the mix. Mr. Graham starts things off pretty uptempo with "Solar Myth" by Piece Process which blends into the next few tracks that have a similar feel but keeps you interseted with great mixing and rumbling basslines.
The compilation takes a slight turn beginning with "Bueno Aires" by Sander Kleinenberg. This track is "light" and from this point on the mix starts to have a soothing progressive feel to it but with tons of energy which is Max Graham all the way. The last track "Tennis" by Junkie XL is superb. It's a melancholy track that makes you feel a little dissapointed that the set is approaching its inevitable end.
This mix is very good for what it is suppsosed to be. The winding hours of an extended dj set. This cd is pretty bangin' though and I would definitely recommend playing this at high volume in the car before you set out for a party or club-night.
I only wish that he had made a two cd set. One cd makes the mix feel a little rushed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Shine is Sublime January 30, 2004
Format:Audio CD
Fans worldwide have been waiting for the follow-up to Max's Transport 4 CD. The wait was well worth it and this CD definitely "Shines" in the spotlight. Once again, as with Transport 4, 11 seems to be Max's favorite number as Shine features 11 perfectly mixed tracks including artists such as Piece Process, Sander Kleinenberg and Junkie XL. Unlike Transport 4, Shine is limited to one disk but this is a limit easily bridges through perfect track selection that will leave you with a smile on your face. Some of the memorable tracks on this CD include Solar Myth by Piece Process (perfect start to the CD) along with Afterburner-Madoka and Tennis by Junkie XL, the perfect ender to this compilation. Those familiar with Max Graham know that he pours his heart into his music and this CD is a perfect example. For those unfamiliar with MG this CD will open your eyes to a great DJ/producer primed to blow up on the worldwide stage. Watch out John Digweed...Max Graham is right on your heels!

4.0 out of 5 stars Not as good as Transport, but still shines.... November 13, 2004
Format:Audio CD
Good Album with great track selection, with only about 2 songs that I didn't care for...The best song on this album has to be Buenos Aires, with its steady rolling bass and sparkling synthesizer riffs...Piece Process' songs are just as good, but don't quite match the Sander Kleinenberg sound I've grown to like...I would have loved it if this was a double album, but still no complaints nonetheless...A must have for progressive fans!

4.0 out of 5 stars max graham is not john graham March 9, 2005
Format:Audio CD
good mix. nothing super extraordinary, but nothing went horribly wrong either.

"quivver" is the alias of john graham, a previous member of tilt. max graham compiled transport 4, which is not dark like quivver's transport 5, but progressive (leaning towards trance). i personally liked transport 4 better than this compilation, but no surprises here.
