5.0 out of 5 stars Get this Album!
If you don't already have Bad Bad One, This is an album to buy!
Meredith Brooks is an extremely tallented and under exposed Rock Musician. (Not a pop tart) She plays honest rock guitar, with couragously honest lyrics. Out of the 100 plus CD'S I keep in my car, this album plays about 25 % of the time and stayed in the deck for about a month when I first got it...

1.0 out of 5 stars Haha, it's Meredith Brooks!
Meredith is so hilarious. She had one lame hit back in 1997 and she thought that by having a "Dr. Phil" remix on her CD would help sales. Shows what she knows!

Hopefully, with this release it will get the exposure it deserves and more new music will be in the making.
If you want to hear a real woman of rock... This is the album for you!

4.0 out of 5 stars It's like deja vu, all over again, November 13, 2004

I'll admit it, I'm a complete lemming. I was so pumped to see that there was a new Meredith Brooks album, that I failed to take a closer look at what I was buying. I started to listen to "Shine" and I felt a sense of deja vu. Then I relized my blunder, I've just re-bought "Bad Bad One". Don't get me wrong, I love the record; but I could've put "Bad Bad One" in my CD player and hit "Random" to get the same effect. For those who might not have bought this the first time around (and apparently there are a lot of you out there); buy it this time around.

Why is it that people have to be so mean-I really can NOT believe the review of Sarcastic Sam!!-Anyway in my opinion-Meredith Brooks is one of the few real GEMS that the US has produced in a long time-Maybe it is because she is beautiful, talented, a great vocalist, sexy as anybody, & a talented & visually stunning guitar player that some people can NOT handle her ability. What a shame for all people everywhere-that Meredith Brooks is NOT a UNIVERSAL SUPERSTAR-Meredith if you are out there-please-DO NOT EVER GIVE UP YOUR DREAM!!!!
