4.0 out of 5 stars If you love halflings, this is your book!, December 11, 1997

This review is from: The Shining South (Advanced Dungeons & Dragons, 2nd Edition/Forgotten Realms, FR16) (Paperback)
The Shining South is easily my personal favorite Forgotten Realms adventure/sourcebook. Why? It has a nation of halflings! If you jumped for joy when TSR released The Complete Book of Gnomes and Halflings, you have to look at this book. It contains a short description of the nation of Luiren, a place where only the short need not be afraid. Right next door to Luiren is Dambrath, the nation run by 1/2Drow-elven Priestesses of Loviatar. Life there is pretty sour, but they have good horses. Also in the book is the nation of Halruaa, which is familiar to any reader of FR novels, where it is often mentioned in passing. Halruaa is a nation of wizards, and a must see on any trip to the shining south. If you own a copy of this book, hang on to it! I have searched over 56 websites and 38 gaming stores for it to no avail. If you feel like selling your book, please contact me at darkwalker@hotmail.com. I regeret having ever let this book go!
