3.0 out of 5 stars FUN 2-D GAME, April 28, 2003

This review is from: Shinobi Legions (Video Game)
If you can find it buy it(...and is an excellent 2-D side scrolling game. You assume the role of an ancient ninja that has been betryed by another klan who has taken a certain family hostage and you seek revenge. This game has got it all awesome detailed 2-d graphics, realtime digitalized backgrounds that are interactive(yes you can destroy almost any background on the screen, trees, limbs, signs, doors etc) the sound is great too, with a great fitting soundtrack to the sound ninja stars,to swords clanging. The game has 8 or 9 levels I believe and is a challenge but not immpossible, plus it has a level code if you must. GREAT SEGA SATURN GAME,A CLASSIC,DECENT STORY AND GAMEPLAY

5.0 out of 5 stars the Best Shinobi game..YOU never heard of!, June 4, 2011
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Shinobi Legions (Video Game)
shinobi legions for the sega saturn..is one of those hidden unknown gems of this excellent sega system. i first heard of this game back in 1999 and looked for a long time to get a copy..and boy am i glad i did. this game is a worthy successor to the shinobi series.. and shows that the saturn was and still is a great system..

the game features a great storyline..excellent music and game play..although the movement in my opinion is not as fluid as lets say shadow dancer, revenge of shinobi or shinobi 3 but..this can be overlooked though...the graphics are incredible and slightly digitized (think mortal Kombat) and still hold up rather well today...the cut scenes were shot in live action which gives the game a cinematic feeling.

like i said this game is unknown by most..even the video game store never heard of this one...found it online.

Botton line..shinobi legions is an awesome game! if you loved any of the other games in the series you'll feel right at home its worth picking up..

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Shinobi game, October 17, 2010

Best Shinobi I never heard of. Reviewed great and they are right. Great 2D graphics slightly digitized like Mortal combat but still comic book like. His animations are so cool with sword slices that cut things in half as they slide apart. Music and backgrounds are interesting and driving. The pace is just right. Bonus is the super cheesy intro and in between full motion video cut scenes as the ninja. Reminds you how far we have come but they are a nice retro slice of nostalgia and they arent bad. Superfun if you like Shinobi or otherwise. So glad I picked this one up for Saturn.
