This review is from: Shiny Spooky Knights (Scooby-Doo! Readers, Level 2) (Paperback)
These books are not very scary for a child who watches Scooby Doo regularly. Some of those early TV episodes did scare here (just a couple), but mostly she is fine watching Scooby Doo cartoons. The books are a nice "reading" transition between that familiar entertainment. These books are clearly for the young reader trying to stay with simple sentence construction and repeated words. I appreciate that and it really helps her to participate and learn as we read together. The book has plenty of illustrations and not too many words, but just enough to actually get some learning accomplished. Overall, I think this is a great product and a great price.
