Make it Work Ships, a Good Book.,
By Stroebel (Cleveland, Ohio) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Ships (Make it Work! Science) (Paperback)
This is a great book. It has lots of neat science projects for you to do. One of them is making a steam boat. It is easy and inexpensive to make all the experiments. It doesn't just tell you how to build it, it explains how to run it also. In the sailboat experiment , it even explains how to sail it. So, if you like to make things that work from everyday materials, this book is for you.

This review is from: Ships: The Hands-Approach to Science (Make It Work! Science (Paperback World)) (Paperback)
If you are a science teacher, these are some great demonstrations that can be used in class. I teach at the secondary level and find that my students enjoy seeing how boats work just as much as I am sure that the younger ones do. With short descriptions of how to build the boats, prep time making them at a minimum, and the use of easy to find materials by the author, its a good book.
