4.0 out of 5 stars short and sweet, July 8, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Shipwrecked Pt.1 (Audio CD)
When I bought 'Calling all Stations' I didn't know what to expect. But I found myself listening to 'Calling all Stations' even more than any other Genesis album. Now I'll admit that 'shipwrecked' isn't my favourite on the album. But after you listen to it for a while,it grows on you.But anyways,I basically bought the cd to hear the new versions of 'no son of mine','lovers leap',and 'turn it on again' with Ray Wilson on vocals. Now I don't have anything against acoustic sets, being a guitar player and all I love them. And these reign superb.EXCEPT for the fact that they're all shortened. You only get about half of 'no son of mine' and they skip a total verse in 'turn it on again'.But if your looking for a new sound of Genesis, this cd is for you.But if you wanna hear the whole versions of the songs, then I wouldn't waste my time......
