I previously used the Active Ankle T2 and it was awesome but after years of use, it finally wore out so I decided to try something new. However, in this case, the whole idea of "don't fix what's not broken" applies. In comparison to Active Ankle T2, the Shock Doc V-Flex is flimsy and much more of a hassle to strap on. Also the Shock Doc's "contouring ankle fitting" aligned awkwardly with my ankle so it caused a lot of discomfort, irritation, and pain. Overall, it felt like a cheap imitation...I would recommend buying Active Ankle products as they are much more solid, durable, easy-to-use, and most importantly - comfortable and effective. I wish I could return the Shock Doc's and get the Active Ankle T2.

I bought this after one of my ankle braces broke on me after 8 years of use. Went to Sports Authority and they were out of McDavid (the brand I've always used) and I needed a brace so I tried Shock Doctor V-Flex. Big mistake. I rarely review products but this one is just awful. Not a comfortable or tight fit at all. The bottom portion rubs a blister every game on the inside of my foot. Very poor construction, very cheap construction. I have tried putting it on different ways but the all don't fit right. Really, really regret this purchase and wish I could get my money back. One of the straps is even busting it's stitches already after less than month of use. That is 5 times total use.
