Great Mouthguard,
This review is from: Shock Doctor Youth Gel Max Strapless Mouthguard (Sports)
We purchased this for our 6 year old daughter to use in her Tae Kwon Do classes.
It was much easier to mold to her mouth then the standard mouthguards you can buy. She said it fits better and does not cut into her gums. We have noticed that it stays in her mouth better and she can actually talk with it in and you can understand her. This is the only mouthguard we will be purchasing from now on.

Purchased for my 6 yr old daughter for karate. Not only was it affordable, it is pink (available in many colors). Better, it fit very comfortably, both for overall size/fit and molded easily and well. It is also easy to refit when she loses teeth or gets new ones (normally, --not from karate; I think that would have made a bad review). I have the same one, adult sized. The gel really makes a perfect fit, and the whole thing is very flexible.

Great price point for a mouthpiece that my kids have to use for football. These cost $20 at Sports Authority. They're also a little tougher for them to chew through since my boys think these are meant to be chew toys! The cheaper ones barely last a season.

After reading review, I gave it a try for my 5 years old daughter. She didn't have trouble using this and she still can talk with this. She told me that she felt so much better than the one she had before.
I could say this is for age between 5-7 (they are not YOUTH!).

We purchased this mouthguard for our 9 year old daughter and it is way to small for her mouth. Not even remotely close to fitting.

Follow directions in the packaging and will fit well. Has lasted longer then most as my son usually chews mouth guards up.

Great Mouthguard, but may be too small for 8 - 10 year olds,
This review is from: Shock Doctor Youth Gel Max Strapless Mouthguard (Sports)
I love these mouthguards. They fit great and are very comfortable for my son. He hated the non-gel mouthguards. However, you won't know if you need youth or adult by the suggested age ranges. We got a youth when my son was 8. He wore it that year. This year, I wondered if I should by youth or adult, and he told me that his old one always felt like it was pushing in on his teeth on the sides. We got an adult size and he said it feels great. My son is 9, and very short for his age (below 25th percentile), but apparently he has a larger than average jaw shape. He probably should have had the adult size last year, but he didn't know to say anything because it was the first year he had to wear a mouthguard.

I got this for my 5 1/2 yr old son (who plays lots of soccer!) and it fits great! very easy to use and also looks cool! It's also affordable compared price for a custom fit.
I would recommend this to anyone who's kids are playing any sports to prevent injury! I am a dental student, soon to be a dentist and know how important it is to wear them =) but of course if you can afford one from a dental office, you should definitely get it there, but this is better than none at all

This was one of the few mouthguards I could find made specifically for smaller mouths, or kids. I bought 2 of these for my boys (ages 11 and 9) for Tae Kwon Do sparring. They fit great and provide excellent protection for the teeth and jaw.
My kids love being able to pick their favorite color too. The other TKD parents are always asking me where we got these mouthguards because the ones provided by the studio are "one size fits all", which means adult. Highly recommend these for anyone under age 12 or 13.

I bought two of these for players on my youth basketball team and both players say they are comfortable and don't mind wearing them in physical basketball games.
