Classic read about what's wrong with America's political doctrine and subsequent moral and political decline.

Fascinating and distressing account of CIA and corporate manipulation of events in South America and developing countries. Very well written and documented.

Well-written, informative, and overall an engaging, interesting read. I am sure there is a lot more to be said about these topics, but this is a great introduction and jumping off point for anyone who's looking for some discussion about the downsides of capitalism.

An eye-opening, well written, and well thought out explanation of how the monied class takes advantage of natural disasters (or initiates financial ones) to change the socio/economic landscape. Naomi Klein is a luminary. I don't say this often, but I consider this a must-read for anyone interested in understanding current events and the recent past.

I thought it was an extremely interesting analysis and I thought it was well done. I think it was her dissertation, but I'm not sure. I do think some of the points were exaggerated to make the point so I couldn't give it five stars.

It is a very good book as it post a more realistic view of critical world events. I did not share the views of the writer regarding Venezuelan political and economical changes imposed by Hugo Chavez. I lived in Venezuela for 5 years during the transition and can attest to the degradation of the country's economy under the Chavismo. I highly recommend this book.

One of the two or three essential works exposing the corporatist state that has replaced democracy in many places.
