Book Description

April 10, 2001

The engaging smile and easy manner of Billy McBride, TV talk show host, belies the deep pain he carries from childhood-being abandoned by his father. This old but still raw pain leaves Billy vulnerable to the life situation of show guest Allison Owens.

Allison and her mother, Jenny, have come on the show desperately hoping to encounter some healing for their disintegrating relationship. Instead, the show erupts into unexpected chaos, as Allison still has wounds on her wrists from a recent suicide attempt.

Billy attempts to help Allison, eventually resorting to exorcism for both of them. The plot takes many twists and turns, but results in each character finding spiritual freedom from pain in the past.

5.0 out of 5 stars Shock Talk: Superb from start ot finish, May 31, 2003

This author brilliantly crafted a story that captivated my interest, from start to finish. I enjoy Mr. Larson's portrayal of how the good that become victimized by personal distress and suffering, inflicted by what must be explained as plain "evil," receive the healing they deserve. Shock Talk is a notable literary work, for both Christians and non-Christians alike.

5.0 out of 5 stars A novel based on Biblical bases, May 28, 2001
By
Joshua Hanna (Winchester, Virginia United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Shock Talk The Exorcist Files (Paperback)
This book is excellent and protrays what so many people are going through. Everything Bob stands for is always backed up by scripture and through all of his excercisms, he gives the savior Jesus Christ all of the credit. If you haven't ask Jesus to come into your life, then you can do it today. The Bible says that Jesus is the only way, the truth, and the light, no one comes to the Father but by Him(Jesus). Ask Jesus into your life today. You won't be sorry. He's the only way to Heaven.

1.0 out of 5 stars Shlock talk, August 4, 2001
This review is from: Shock Talk The Exorcist Files (Paperback)
This book is simply bad. The writting itself is poor and the absurd ideas the story is about are simply unbelivable and silly. Why would anybody buy this book or the ideas inside? This book is good only if you've been living on a biblical "base" all your life. Drivel
