The Definition of Streetpunk,
By Nick Dago (Boston USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Shock Troops (Audio CD)
Shock Troops is a street punk masterpiece like no other. The fact that it holds songs that every real person in the scene knows is testimony to that. The working class pride embodied in songs like Take Em All, England Belongs to Me and Argy Bargy defines punk rock, and Oi! in particular. If you don't have this, you aren't a punk or skin. Perhaps the greatest streetpunk band of all time, and this is their definitive work.

awesome indeed,

great streetpunk/oi. "argy bargy," "where are they now," "england belongs to me," and "riot squad" are worth the price alone. taang tacked on 6 bonus tracks at the end and are a nice addition, although none are as good as the aforementioned tracks. "colonel bogey" is just plain obnoxious but "what's it like to be old" and "teenage heart" are good. the only song on here that i really don't like other than "colonel" is "out on an island" cause it is slow. otherwise you should buy this.

Shocktroops,
By "josh6628362" (United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Shock Troops (Audio CD)
Shocktroops is definitly Cocksparrers best album ever. The band has a few different types of songs, and this album covers them all. It's great 77 style music and a must for any collection. It isn't very long, but it is one of those cds that you will listen to over and over again and not get tired off it. It is also pretty hard to find, especially for under twenty bucks. Anyone who buys this album will be most satisfied. The only thing it is lacking is Runnin Riot, but the rest of the album makes up for that.
