From the first moment of their first encounter along the James, Brenna Scott knows that designer suits concealed Ethan Carrington's hard body and relentless dedication. Ethan already knows the danger he faces from Zhukov. When Ethan and Brenna are kidnapped together shortly after they meet, Ethan is convinced she is working for Zhukov. They are transported to a palatial estate in Mexico, a place Brenna knows well from her visions. In her dreams, Ethan dies here. Now caught in a game she does not understand and falling in love with a man she barely knows, Brenna must trust a man who does not trust her even as their passion threatens to blaze out of control - and may be used against them. Author Jenna Mills pens yet another great read in SHOCK WAVES. A great believer in a metaphysical world that eludes ordinary senses, I adore series romance that dares to include some sort of paranormal element. Brenna's gift for precognition comes with the terrible perils and confusion that inevitably accompany such gifts when reading for oneself. Her deep ethical need to risk all to share her information, however tenuous, lends her character a memorable strength. Ethan's skepticism, while somewhat predictable, also seems somewhat inevitable. The clash of their value systems lends the novel a strong underlying conflict while the suspense elements keeps the plot moving quickly. The result is a hauntingly memorable read that comes very highly recommended.

Mills is pure Magic,

Jenna Mills has really come on strong for Silhouette Intimate Moments, and her trilogy about the Carrington siblings have all been super; Mills are peak form. This is the final tale in the series (Perfect Target #1212 and Crossfire #1287 for reading the tales about Ethan's sisters). But this tale really stands out. Mills is always great, but this one was just a little extra special.
Ethan Carrington long ago made friends with a man in the US, during his college days, and brought him home, only to have his girlfriend fall in love with the man they called Demetri. Later they discover he was the son of a small European dictator with a very bloody history. Ethan arranged the man's take-down, but he escaped, and ever since then he has been coming at Ethan using his family as targets to get even. Brenna Scott is a woman haunted by dreams...nightmares that come true. Many times, she "sees" people being killed and was not be able to prevent it, thus making her walk a solitary path, live her life in the shadows. However, when the dreams begin showing Ethan dying, she comes out of the shadows to warn him. Being a hardheaded man of logic, he does not believe her, and actually thinks she is the bait Demetri is dangling before him as a lure for his vengeance. Because Ethan refuses to listen and doubts her motives, he puts both their lives in danger. It's a taught tale with vivid characters that gets its hook in you and won't let go. Mills handles the clairvoyance dead bang on, that will send shivers up your spine. Mills is a force to watch. She started out strong with her first book and just continues to hit the mark every time. 2004 Reviews International Organization Award of Excellence Finalist and 3rd Place Winner

Jenna Mills has been shows in SIMs for some time now just how hot of a writer she is. But the last Carrington tale is fantasic. I loved Brenna, and her trouble over her "sight". Jenna nailed in head on. She shows why she is one of the brighest voices in series romance today.
