This really works well....,
I received one of these a few years back as a gift thinking what would I do with this. Well, five years later, it has a permanent place in our utility room for drying shoes fresh from the washer (I have two young ones) - great for work boots, wet shoes from outside, etc. Never gets too hot, never makes noise, drys everything from the little gap canvas shoes to the Polaris Snowmobile boots, overnight or less...I have bought one for most of the family in the snow area too....

Simply Awesome!,
By Wet From The Pool "Wet From The Pool" (Los Angeles, CA) - See all my reviews I highly recommend the Peet Shoe Dryer for anyone that may have been pushed into a pool, may get pushed in a pool, or generally needs to get their shoes dried.

Not for neoprene booties,
By
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I tried this product for drying my surfing booties and it did not work at all. In fact, the passive heating (no fan) and warm air seemed to provide the perfect environment for bacterial growth and the booties smelled like something the dog would like to roll in. The low rating is for use as a neoprene booty dryer. I have no experience with it otherwise.

Shoe Dryer,
When I recieved this product it was not exactly what I thought it should be. I thought it would more of a fan type system, but it is a small heating element. My reason for purchase is I have to wear rubber irrigation boots all day and athletes foot is a huge problem, since I started using the dryer I have had no problems. I put my boots on the dryer when I come home from work and take them off the next morning and then sprinkle in some plain baby powder and off to work I go with no AF. Dryer is easy to use and works great.

long time user,
This review is from: PEET Shoe Dryer Original M97-OL Shoe Dryer (Discontinued by MFG 2009) (Tools & Home Improvement)
I've used my peet boot dryers on different types of boots for nearly 20 years. I love warm dry boots every morning. Prolongs boot life and promotes healthy skin. Only knock: When dryers get old the element gets brittle and can break easily if tipped over. After 10 years of 24/7 use I can afford a replacement. Going to buy my 3rd one now.

I bought this dryer when I worked for a lawn company here in the midwest. I would work 10-12 hour days in the sun and humidity, leaving my boots thoroughly soaked by the end of the day. If I put the boots on the dryer when I got home around 7pm they were bone dry by 5am.
Not only did this make for a more comfortable work day, but helped to prevent blisters and kept my feet from smelling. One of the best purchases I have ever made!

This'll git 'er done,

I've used one of these for three years now with excellent results for hiking boots, Nordic ski boots, athletic shoes and rubber/leather pacs. Although the heat level is very modest - and therefore protects your footwear and keeps the electric bill low - it will thoroughly dry all but the very soggiest boots in a few hours. Also, it seems to eliminate any foul odors (who me?) in athletic or street shoes.
Here's a hot tip: put your already-dry winter boots on this Peet dryer before venturing out on a frigid morning and your feet will be truly toasty! I've seen much fancier boot dryers and I see even Peet now makes a fancier version. And this product seems a bit pricy for something so simple that has no moving parts. But I'm not tempted to get anything else because this simple model is foolproof and "gits `er done." Highly recommended for anyone who ever gets their boots or shoes wet while exploring the surface of our beautiful planet.
