I ordered this Shogi set not really knowing how to play Shogi. It was affordable, and if I didn't like it, I wouldn't have felt like I'd wasted much money. Having now played it, I love it. It's a fun game, a lot like chess (it is a chess variant, after all), but with different enough mechanics to make it feel fresh. The pieces are nice, and the small box makes it easy to throw in my backpack and carry around campus. The paper board is the only downside, but I realize it's difficult to get portability and piece size on a hard board, so that can be overlooked. Overall, it was a very worthwhile purchase.

This set is great the pieces are comfortable to hold and the box came fast and was in great condition. the only bad thing i would have to say is the markings on the pieces are a little different than the instruction booklet. overall a great product.

this game is soo cool my family and friends love it and we find it a lot more interesting than the normal chess.
