  • NO BODY MODIFICATIONS REQUIRED
  • Shogun frame sliders are superior to other frame slider brands by virtue of their construction and material. Shogun pucks are made of shatter-proof UHMW infused with UV protective polymer. Shogun pucks absorb kinetic energy from crashes and will not shatter in cold temperature like some types of Delrin or fade in the sun. Each puck has a press fit aluminum bushing to hold it in place during impact to reduce the risk of the puck tearing off of the mounting point.
  • Shogun frame slider offsets are CNC machined from the same grade aluminum as military aircraft. Offsets are anodized black to match OEM components. Each offset is manufactured to stringent specifications with ISO 9000 quality control. Each Shogun Frame Slider comes with high tensile strength corrosion resistant hardware (cheap imitators do not use high grade hardware and will quickly rust).
  • Shogun uses socket head bolts in nearly every kit, allowing for stronger frame slider design in a more compact space. Newer applications of Shogun Frame Sliders make use of a counter sunk design, which distributes the force of impact over a wider area and gives additional strength to the system so that the puck remains attached to the motorcycle.
  • Available in a 3 piece kit (bar sliders, swingarm sliders and frame sliders.). Made in the USA

First, let me explain why I gave the product 4 stars. You will see that they advertise this as a "No cut" frame sliders. This is NOT the case. You will have to trim about a 1"x2" rectangle off the counter sprocket cover. I easily did this with a hacksaw, took all of 3 minutes to do. Bodywork, however, IS cut-free. To be frank, trimming the sprocket cover is really, really easy. 3 minutes to trim, then I spent another 5 minutes and put some black spray paint on the fresh cut to make it look good. You can not tell at all once everything is installed. I did a TON of researching before buying these, and already knew this before buying. Still, they should have acknowledged this. Had they said so, it would have been 5/5 stars. No complaints otherwise.

Install instructions are completely lacking when you get them (NOTE: I did not purchase this from Amazon, but it's all the same) You'll need to go to their website to download and/or print install instructions. 2 minutes of googling will also yield all the instructions you can handle. I don't find it that big of a deal, since if you can read this review, you can find instructions on how to install them.

The new-gen Ninja 250 (08 and up) uses 2 bolts to hold the engine in. You support the engine with a floor jack, and replace the bolts with the ones they give you. While doing so, you slide in the bars that run parallel with the bike. There are tabs on the bars, and that's where the frame sliders themselves actually bolt to. Once installed, these frame sliders are super-sturdy.

Oddball tools that you'll need that you may not have laying around the house: Floorjack and hacksaw.

Package came very quickly, however, the content of the box wasn't packed very well. It was only wrapped in paper and wasn't tape down. The metal pieces could bang on each other to create marks.

Installation was simple if you knew what you were doing. There was no instructions included in the package. Best to find a DIY on the net [...] and follow that. There is cutting involved, but only to the sprocket cover. There is no instructions on how much to cut, so you'll have to fit and cut until you hit the right spot. I used a dremel to cut the sprocket, and repaint the cut area with black high temp engine paint.

First off, I thought I was buying a whole Shogun Motorsports Slider KIT. Just like the AD says product feature. "available in 3 piece kit (bar sliders, swing arm sliders , frame sliders)". This is NOT the case. You are paying $142 for two home made bars with home made tack welds , and 2 plastic cylinders they call sliders that are said to be "CNC machined with the highest grade steel bolts" , YEAH RIGHT !! home made bars with crap welds and a bag of Home Depot NON grade A bolts with NO instruction manual. Seller acknowledges that there is a confusion in the AD and it is misleading. Don't waste your hard earned money. This frame slider does not appear to be strong enough to protect your bike from a simple tip over or low side. POS

For a box that contains two cheap bars and and a bag of cheap bolts. This KIT is NOT worth getting for $142. Seller has a very confusing and deceptive AD. Seller suggested a refund but why.. so they can keep my money and I would end up with nothing. NO way.! I would rather suffer my loss. And save another head ache. I would NOT recommend this product or seller Powersport superstore to any loyal amazon user.
