This cd is an outstanding presentation of the classic Republic pictures western musical scores. Anyone who remembers the 3 Mesquiteers will be well pleased with this cd. All the music that you remember, from the opening to the finale, is here.
James King does a fine job in presenting these classic scores.

Just received the album and any concerns I had about ordering a CD sound-unheard were immediately dismissed. The sound is rich from a concert orchestra and the various mood and situation music is woven together wonderfully. The album notes tell about each band and when they were used even commenting on the various featured instruments and what sort of scenes they were used in to set the mood. Having grown up in the '40,s,this music album fills the bill!
I've seen many of the movies listed on the album,and the music was exciting! So is this album.A must for western fans.
