Product Description

Shoot the Hero is an action-comedy about a 30-something couple who, while shopping for a wedding ring, unintentionally become involved in a botched jewel heist. The plot thickens when the crooked casino owner who engineered the heist hires two unassuming hitmen to clean up the mess, and the soon-to-be husband and wife find themselves discovering new things about themselves and their relationship.

Cast members include Jason Mewes (Clerks, Dogma, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Zack and Miri Make a Porno), Samantha Lockwood (Lords of Dogtown, Mexican Gold), Danny Trejo (Desperado, Heat, Con Air, Spy Kids, Sin City 2 and the upcoming Machete), Nic Nac (MTV s Wild N Out, American Pie Beta House, Van Wilder 3), Nick Turturro (Jungle Fever, NYPD Blue, The Longest Yard, I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry), Steve Tally (American Pie Presents: The Naked Mile, American Pie Presents: Beta House, Van Wilder 3), Katie Morgan (Zack and Miri Make a Porno), and veteran actor Fred Williamson (Inglorious Bastards,From Dusk till Dawn, Starsky and Hutch).

About the Actor

JASON MEWES as NATE - New Jersey born and bred actor, who burst onto cinema screens in 1994, playing the grass smoking, fast talking, foul mouthed and over-sexed, but very likable, "Jay" in Kevin Smith's hilarious low budget hit CLERKS (1994). The off beat & philosophical drug dealing characters of "Jay and Silent Bob" (Mewes and Smith) cropped up again in four more films directed by the talented Smith.....the tepidly received MALLRATS (1995), was followed by more street wisdom in the scintillating romantic comedy CHASING AMY (1997), they tackled theological issues in the quirky religious comedy DOGMA (1999) and then took on Hollywood, in the road trip epic JAY AND SILENT BOB STRIKE BACK (2001). Their characters also made a cameo appearance in Scream 3 (2000). And after various roles in many other features Mewes starred in the sequel to Smith's break out movie Clerks in CLERKS 2 (2006). More recently he starred alongside Seth Rogen and Elizabeth Banks in ZACK AND MIRI MAKE A PORNO (2008). Jason now steps out of the mold that made him and slips into the timid shoes of office drone-turned-hero, Nate in SHOOT THE HERO!

SAMANTHA LOCKWOOD as KATE - Her father is the iconic Gary Lockwood, widely known for Sci-Fi work and especially as Dr. Frank Poole in Kubrick's 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY. Her mother, Denise DuBarry, is best known for her role as a regular in Black Sheep Squadron, countless television episodes, and films such as Being There. Samantha always knew she would follow in her parents' footsteps. Her first acting breaks came in 2004 when she was cast as Johnny Knoxville's girlfriend in the feature film LORDS OF DOGTOWN and as Dakota in CSI: NEW YORK. In 2007, the actress joined actor Peter Facinelli in Peter Winter's, film festival short, THAT GUY. And recently, Lockwood starred in the new web series STORE FRONT by inartmedia.com and the Lionsgate feature film MEXICAN GOLD. But now Samantha has stepped into the leading lady role as the enigmatic Kate, showcasing her charm, beauty and sharp wit alongside Jason Mewes. An accomplished artist, designer and yoga instructor, Lockwood will no doubt be one to watch as Hollywood's newest female leads.

GREAT ACTION, COMEDY, AND BAD ASS SCENES. A LIL BIT OF IT ALL. ITS HARD TO FIND MANY ORIGINAL MOVIES OR DIFFERENT OUTLOOKS. THIS IS AN ARTISTIC ORIGINAL FILM. WHAT EVERY MOVIE NEEDS HOT CHICKS, GREAT VILLIANS (DANNY TREJO) OF MACHETE, HOT & LIKEABLE UNDERDOG LEAD(JASON MEWES), HILARIOUS AND SURPRISING ACTION TEAM (THE CLEANERS). Whoever was shooting with the camera sucked. Must be the directors first movie...and failed. Jason Mewes was pretty good in the movie...and im guessing only his fans will watch it.
