Create and share instantly.
The next generation 3M™ Camcorder Projector is a camcorder, camera and projector, all in one. Create stunning HD video and photo content, then project and share it instantly — anywhere! See it. Believe it. Make it possible.
The only connector is your finger.
No downloading. No syncing. No waiting. Just press a button to start the show. And no more passing around a small screen — the up to 65" projected screen means there's room for everyone.
Any surface is a screen.
Now this is mobile entertainment.
Project your image on a ceiling, a wall or even a T-shirt. Record a day at the beach and play back the highlights over cocktails — on a cocktail napkin!
Works with other devices, too.
Connect and project to enlarge your small screen.
DVD players. Gaming consoles. Everything gets bigger with a simple connection. Sleepover in the backyard? Hook it up to a portable DVD player and project a movie right on the tent wall.
It has "easy" all buttoned up.
There's a button for the camera. There's a button for the camcorder. There's a button for the projector. A few more for onscreen scrolling. And you're done.
20 lumens for 100 minutes.
Starts bright. Stays bright.
With this tiny powerhouse, you can watch a full-length feature film that stays luminous, or create your own — which means you're the director. And the projectionist.
2GB of built-in memory.
Handy for creating lots of memories.
Shoot up to six 25-minute videos or snap up to 1000 photos. Expand the memory by popping in a microSD™ or microSDHC™ card. Now, if it could only remember where you left your purse.
Oh, snap! You can take photos, too.
Sure, the camcorder and projector parts are über-cool. But don't forget about the built-in 5MP camera. With fixed focus, LED flash and 4x digital zoom, it's no slouch.
Skinny, mini and mobile.
Create a screen on the go — it's small enough to throw in your bag or even your pocket. Well, depending on the size of your pocket.
A/V cable included.
Plays well with others.
The 3M™ Camcorder Projector has a headphone jack that is both input and output. The included cable converts it to standard A/V connections, so you can project content from other devices.

Before I cover the projector, let me say a bit about the other features. As for it's video and picture taking quality, both were fairly decent - on par with my iPhone, though it has a slightly less wide angle lens. I'm not sure why it lists 1x optical lens, since that essentially means there is no optical zoom. It also has an LED light for assisting with video and flash in low light. However, there's a clear plastic cover that sits over the lens and LED light to protect them from damage. The problem here, though is that light from the LED creates a glare into the lens, and really detracts from the resulting image.
On the front, the buttons are all touch sensitive, and it features a built in calibration routine and sensitivity adjustments. I found I really don't like them because when trying to use it, you have no tactile feedback. This isn't so bad when using them to navigate on the LCD screen, but when using the projector mode, I couldn't keep my finger on the right spot while staring at the wall to see if my presses were being registered, even when trying to hit the same button repeatedly for things like volume control. I also found that trying to take a still picture was difficult and often the key press wouldn't register properly - almost like the button was misplaced or much less sensitive than all the others.
On the bottom side is the lens for picture/video, the LED light and a tripod mount.Read more ›
The 3M CP45B Camcorder Projector does exactly what it says on the box, offering an easy to hold device that can fit in a purse or backpack but yet something that's capable of recording video clips, and PROJECTING those same videos back on the wall or designated projection area due to it's built-in projector.
The 3M CP45B Camcorder Projector is bigger than a FLIP recorder, but that should be expected given that the CP45B has a built in projector. The CP45B also is heavier than most handheld video recording devices, but again, this is due to the built in projector. Build quality is good, and the touch button interface works as expected and consistent with other electronic products of this type (FLIP for example).
Where the 3M CP45B Camcorder Projector stands out from the rest of the crowd is the fact that it has a built-in projector. Most people would expect a projector as small as your hand to not have good quality output. To be clear, this is by no means a HD projector that you would see in most home theaters. Sporting a resolution of 800 x 600 pixels, it's not the sharpest projector you will ever see, but it's reasonable in quality and provides a bright and easy to view image. To compare, if you have seen a portable projector used in a small conference room for corporate presentations, this is probably about the equivalent.
I really liked the fact that I could plug in additional devices to play stored videos (such as my phone and laptop). This makes it handy to not only capture video with this device but playback video from ANY device.Read more ›

You see the camera in a special cut out slot and as you begin to explore, you see the most organized package ever. I am 62 years old and this is just NICE! Next you see a CD/DVD and a THICK NICE Manual with a color picture on the front. Over 1/4 inch thick and in every language you will need. Then you discover a USB power supply with again EVERY snap on connector for ANY Country you may ever travel to. I mean, it is just the most class act I have seen in years. And COMPLETE! No manual you have to download and just guess about. Every single thing you are going to need is right here....
I won't go over all the camera features yet since it just got here! But they are documented in the Amazon description. I wanted to show you what the video looks like on HD Setting on a cloudy day with NO tinkering with settings. It has a very intuitive menu on screen you can toggle through that is self explanatory. I just set the still photo to 8 megapixel and off I go....Now playback using the projector is NOT a gimmick. I have played back the 2 movies I did on my hand, my recliner, even my cat! It is really nice to be able to check your video on the fly.Read more ›

Projector works great, video camera quality ok, picture quality is not good. Bought mostly for the projector, would recommend for projector use only.Published 18 months ago by Aimee Pemberton
