We've had the shooting star lights on our house for three years running; they're great. Work well for outdoor use, haven't had any failures or dead LEDs. Gemmy apparently saw fit to change the timing of these lights this year or last. The new lights don't work the same way as the old ones. Where the old ones basically flash just one LED at a time in very quick succession and are unlit most of the time, the new ones seem to light four LEDs in a row in a slow sequence, and seem to be lit most of the time. My wife commented that the new ones are crooked and not lined up perfectly like the old ones. None of them are lined up or spaced perfectly, but since the new ones are all lit up, it's a lot more obvious.

I'll attach a video of the difference once I get the new ones up on the house.

Edited: I had said that the old ones seemed to drip, but that wasn't the case, they just flash from top to bottom very quickly, no lingering.
