These are very handy. However if you plan to use them on visible surfaces, you will want to modify them first. The top part of the clamp leaves a small depression in the top surface becuase the screw bulges out the plastic cap, and the bottom part of the clamp will mark the bottom surface. Some superglue and felt solved the bottom part, and I think some of those orange clamp pads intended for bar clamps placed over the existing plastic cap will solve the top issue; both extremely easy and inexpensive modifications.

I don't know why, but you can't buy these kind of tools in Canada! So I ordered 3 of these from Amazon to reattach a bridge on an old Harmony 12 string. They worked perfectly. Lightweight, and strong, I didn't have to block or support them underneath to keep the top from bending. I did have to stick 1/2" blocks to the bottom surfaces to clear a brace, and I did have to use thin pieces of wood shims under the clamping screw so as to not mar the bridge. I make no claims at all of being even close to a luthier, not even in my dreams. I'm just a picker and grinner who enjoys getting my hands on old beat up guitars and helping them make music again. Very happy with these clamps. And the shipping was relatively fair and very fast. The shipping only took 5 days! (For US shipping to Canada, that's Very Fast!)

I use these for guitar repairs.
They are fine - but are inexpensive for a reason.
Before using them, you will need to improve the points where it contacts whatever you are repairing. As they are, they are rather narrow and do not spread the pressure and can leave nice deep dents.

I have been wanting this item for a while. It is light weight and prefect for what I need it for.

These worked perfectly on my 1920's Tiple (Tee-Play) a 10 string instrument about the size of a tenor Ukulele. The clamps really made the job easy. I highly recommend them.

The pricing for this clamp was uncomparable anywhere. I ended up paying at least half price for items of exact quality elsewhere.
