Ford Tractor Shop Manual, Fo-20
You should understand that the material contained in this manual is as dated as the tractors it makes reference to. Though it would be better to have a more comprehensive product for the uninitiated, I haven't yet found another publication that covers these tractor's various systems and components better than represented here. good for engine rebuilding
I purchased this manual to help maintain and fix some hydraulic problems with a gasoline 1955 Ford 640 tractor. Then . It's ok for the later - esp a mechanic familiar with tractors. But not for maintenance. It covered propane and diesel but very little for gasoline system. Not even the air cleaner or adjusting the carboratur! Possibly because the Ford...

It's ok for the later - esp a mechanic familiar with tractors. But not for maintenance. It covered propane and diesel but very little for gasoline system. Not even the air cleaner or adjusting the carboratur! Possibly because the Ford owners manual covers a basic maintenance and adjustments very well. (Discovered that when I finally found a copy.) So far the 2 books work well together. But on other's advice, I also ordered the Ford shop manual. It hasn't arrived yet and may be redundant, but it covers fewer models. |
