The machine was bought to use in a small engine repair shop. It works, with the following annoyances.
1. The User Manual is missing description of how to attach the tool caddy that is to be attached to the vacuum. In fact the tool caddy is not described in the user manual at all.
2. The design of the wall mount is sufficient to get the machine off of the floor. It does not have facilities for all tools (e.g., it is missing a hose hanger {you wrap the hose around the vacuum)).
3. The fit of the tools is sufficient, but not exact. You need to pressure the standard wand to get it to fit.
4. For a supposed 5.5 hp machine, its lifting power does not appear to be any better than 3 hp machines.

I will keep it, it is functional, but I am not pleased with the purchase.

This shop vac is just as strong as it's much larger counterparts. The fact that is wall mounted is why I bought it since space is limited in my garage. The mount and organizer are very handy but they do not really hold the attachments very well. I wish the vac had wheels since I wind up dragging it around when it is not hooked into the wall mount. Overall I am pleased with this product.

-Update: After using this product many times I must say that I am still pleased. I do however have a few issues. I bought it because it was small but that benefit has proven to be a weakness when working on larger projects that require me to empty and change the bag multiple times. Also the accessories that comes with it should be universal, they are not. Some require an adapter to make them fit on the hose end. This just seems stupid to me.

I am very happy with this purchase, it is everything I wanted and works very well. It has great suction and is better than most shop vacs because it has a longer hose and longer cord, really great features. I mounted it on my garage wall and that is a great space saver. The only thing that I would like to change is to have wheels on it, like most other shop vacs. It is light and easy to carry but the wheels would be an improvement. I would definitely recommmend this product for routine household use.

Ok folks, I decided to do a review because many keep saying "I wish it had wheels".

You simply do not need them! This vacuum has a very slick bottom surface with curvature much like a boat. You can drag this thing all over your house with little to no resistance - whether it's on carpet, linoleum, wood, or tile. Of course you'll scratch up the bottom if you drag it on concrete, but this vacuum isn't designed for tough duty outside jobs.

I've used this vacuum for over 6 months and I vacuum my entire house with it. I am totally satisfied. I originally bought it as a temporary substitute while shopping for "normal" house vacuums. However, due to all the bad ratings, I gave up on my search. That's fine because I'm happy with this little sucker. (I also have a 14 gallon wet-vac for the garage)

So really folks, you truly don't need any wheels. Besides, all they'll do is get hung up on corners when you pull it around the house or make this vacuum tip over easily by changing it's center of gravity.

As a last note, I agree with some that the tool holding capability is lacking. The wall bracket is nice but they could have done a much better job with tool accommodations. I can deal with this oversight. Overall, I find this to be a very handy tool at a reasonable price.

I purchased this vacuum to replace two vacuums, a large Craftsman 16 gallon shop vac and a portable Craftsman 2 gallon vac. The 16 gallon had 2 1/2" hose accessories and the 2 gallon had 1 1/4" hose accessories. Both did not connect well with my hand sander and miter saw. The 2 gallon vac's hose fit inside the miter saw's dust collection connector but the 4' hose was too short to allow the vac to sit on the floor. This vacuum is perfect. The 1 1/2" hose fit perfectly and stays securely connected to my tools and the long hose allows me to position the vac on the wall or floor when working in my garage. I am very happy with this vac. It's quieter than both of my old vacs, the air diffuser works much better than my old vacs, and the thing that sold me on this vac is the two stage filters - great for sanding drywall. The vac's suction is a little weaker than my on 16 gallon shop vac and the narrower hose makes sucking up larger pieces of wood or leafs impossible but overall I think this is near perfect. An affordable or included extension hose is the only thing to be desired - can't clean the whole garage without pulling this thing of the wall.

This wet-dry vac has been reliable, but it has much less power than some of the others I've used. I was hopeful, as I need a powerful vac, but not a large reservoir, and this seemed to fit the bill, but the avg. power is well below peak.

We purchased this item to clean a beauty shop.You can imagine all the hair!It has a lot of suction and does a great job!It is lightweight and has a long hose.We do not want to be without it!We have been using this one for over a year with NO problems.It is a Great Shop Vac, especially for the price. We highly recommend and would order this again.

About one year ago I, and my wife, were transferred from a West Coast rural community to Manhattan NYC. We bought, after much effort, a small two bedroom prewar apartment in Midtown NYC. Though we love where we live we do not have central AC and often open our windows. I can not describe to you the amount of filth, soot and crud that we found settling on our floors, area carpets, furniture and walls! Our newly purchased "never lose suction vacuum", lost suction and died, steam mops, regular mops, and dusters could not keep up with what can only be described as a daily layer of toxic effluent settling on our lives. Then, one day, we needed our dishwasher serviced and the repairman used a this Shop-Vac wet/dry to clean behind the dishwasher. He took a small amount of water in a spray bottle and removed about ½ inch of built up crud with the vac. I immediately decided to purchase the very same model from Amazon. Let me tell you what you can do with this thing. I wet our floors, with a very thin layer of soapy water, and sucked up all the water with this tool. The water was jet black and filthy (after having mopped it the previous day), I used the same procedure on our furniture and area carpets. The amount of crap I picked up was amazing. My wife's allergy problems have cleared up, our socks remain white when we walk on our floors and we use less in paper towels and cleaning fluids when cleaning. The HEPA filter is excellent when doing regular vacuuming. Here is my advice, you can spend $500 on a fancy vacuum and $100 on an upholstery cleaner, or $95 on this and you will not believe how well this works. One note, however, this is only a "miracle tool" for bare floors, hard surfaces, upholstery and area rugs. If you have wall to wall carpet, you'll need a regular vacuum. By the way, when you read the one star reviews be aware that the attachments should be self explanatory. If you can not figure out how to "attach" them well then you should seek professional help as it is unlikely you are capable of doing anything else that requires a little common sense.

The product works great, but I didn't like the fact that it was supposed to be new but the accesories showed slight signs of use

I purchased the shop vac for use in my aviaries to clean up the cages and floors where the bird cages are and it works great -- I needed a strong--compact--vacuum with a wide hose to pick up bird seed and peanuts, etc. without getting clogged in the vacuum hose. I also wanted the versatility of being able to vacuum up wet and well as dry. I recommend this vac highly.
