This filter is great. I bought the 09001C version, now discontinued on Amazon.com. From this ad they look identical, and the specs are the same.

Mine is great. I emptied my vac the other day with this in it for the first time. At first I was careful, since I didn't want to tear the filter. Then I realized, after smacking it around a bit, how strong it is. After a while I just ran my garden hose on it with a pretty strong water stream. The filter was absolutely fine, and the water got all of the dust out of it very easily. I'd never do this as casually with the original paper filters. They tend to tear even more easily when they are wet. I let this filter dry, and then popped it back into the vac.

I can't talk to the amount or size of dust particles that this picks up rather than the original paper filters. I have to trust Gore and their ads for that. But it does make me feel better knowing that this one is at least 'supposed' to grab smaller particles.

Also, on a side note, to make this even easier to clean, someone suggested putting an old stocking over the filter. That way most of the dust won't pile on and stick to the filter itself. I'm trying this now. It is still working fine.

Highly recommended. Expensive at first, but does a much better job of filtering and is very durable, will outlast the paper OEM filters by far. Easy to clean. When I first purchased it, it happened at the time I was cleaning up a lot of drywall dust. The old paper filter let a lot of dust go through and into the air...I didn't think it was much until I used the HEPA filter, and was amazed at how clear the air in the room was while vacuuming up the dust on the floor.

I'll never buy a standard paper one again!

I love this filter! This is made from the well known Gore-Tex material that is used in high-end adventure clothing. The Gore material allows air through the filter, but not moisture. This filter material is super durable. It makes it so much easier to use my 6.5HP wet/dry vac to suck up liquids. I have two of these filters and I rotate them, so when I get one of them wet or when the container is full and ready to clean, I hose it off and swap it out with the dry filter. The Gore material is interesting since the dirt does not stick to the filter, it washes off easily.

Before this I used to buy the Craftsman red filters all the time and it got expensive like replacing ink cartridges for the printer. I've been swapping the two Gore filters for a couple years now and after many full vacuums they're still like new. Saves money over time. Highly recommended!!

I saw a CleanStream filter like the one pictured on this listing in a store. Using Amazon's bar code scanner on my phone I scanned it and this listing came up. It was significantly cheaper including shipping so I ordered one. They sent me a regular bottom-of-the-line Craftsman brand filter in a Craftsman box. NOT HEPA. NOT CleanStream. Not by GORE as listed. It fit my vacuum, but was not what I was expecting. The seller blamed Amazon for the error. They did refund the purchase price. They reportedly do not carry the CleanStream filters.

I bought a Sears vacuum (this year, I hope it's a current model) and this filter did not fit. It should list the models it actually fits.
