PLEASE post actual dimensions for these vacuum adapters if you buy one!!!
Big end OD is 2.48" and ID is 2.28"
Small end OD is 1.20" and ID is 1.03"

It didn't fit into either side of the connection I was trying to make - attaching my Fein vacuum to a Bosch router table.

The adapter is made of hard plastic (like other vacuum accessories) - there is no stretch or give to it.

The idea is pretty simple - 2.5 inches down to 1.25 inches. You absolutely need this to useShop-Vac 801-89-33 Micro Cleaning Kit. This fits snugly on the end of the hose that came with my Shop-Vac and the micro cleaning kit parts fit snugly into the small end. No annoying falling apart. You can also use this to attach a 1.25 inch hose to the dust port on quite a few power tools.

I can't find a single thing to complain about. Hoses fit snugly enough that a couple turns on a hose clamp is all you need to form a good seat, but not so tightly that you can't get the hoses back off without feeling like you're going to rip them apart.
Very good adapter for those having tools with the 1-1/4" dust ports.

Contrary to what other reviewers may say this will not allow you to connect a 1.5" Shop vac hose to a nominal 2.5" outlet found on apower tool. This is because the 2.5" end is the same diameter as the outlet on the power tool and so will not slide into the outlet!
I wish that Dry Vac made such an adapter but I rigged up an adapter from CPVC plumbing parts and, what else, Duct Tape!

This adapter fits very well (not loose, but too tight either, just snug) on my Ridgid 12 gallon shop vac 2-1/2" hose. I use it to collect dust off my power tools (sander, router, miter saw, etc).

LOL. Not much to review about this. It's an adaptor for the Shop-Vac type of vacuum cleaner from the 2 1/2 inch hose down to a 1 1/4 inch hose (which is the size of a standard household vacuum hose). It allows you to use your regular vacuum attachments with the Shop-Vac. I ordered it, it arrived in a few days, and it fits both sizes just fine. That's about it.

It worked really well. It did what it was intended to do. Shipping time was good, it is a good addition to my shop vac.

still waiting to received this item after so long. i only received the router bit set and 16 inch square after so much months of waiting. that rating is for not receiving the item

This attachment converts the 2.5 to 1.25 allowing attachments to be used. Does exactly what it was designed for. No complaints.
