Customer Reviews

I wasted my money on this wont fit the hose .
Annie Bee
That way the dog or cat wasn't as scared by the vacuum sound and that seemed to make it better for them.
JB
It does not scratch the dog, but picks up the Loose hair great.

I would recommend this item for others. It works well on my Golden Retriever. The teeth are a rubber/plastic material and flexible to prevent irritation of the dogs skin. As a tip, I place the shop vac in another room, then run the door through doorway and close the door as much as possible. This reduces the noise of the shop vac from upsetting the pooch.

I would buy this item again.

Easy to use, seems to work okay. A better brush than the Bissell if you HAVE to brush in the house and hook up to the vacuum. But, not as effective as one of the dedicated shedding brushes like the Furminator, etc. It might not attach to your vacuum without a coupler. if your hose isn't the same diameter as a ShopVac hose, you might have a problem. It seems the ID of this attachment is 1 1/4 inch, so the OD of your hose going into it will need to be 1 3/8.

I have a German Shepherd mix and he produces never-ending, flying fur. So, I decided to stop the fur at the source. I took my small canister vacuum and put an extra 15 foot hose on the vacuum. I put the attachment on the end of the long hose. I postioned the vacuum partially across the room and sat on the sofa and brushed/vacuumed my dog. He loved it.

I highly recommend this vacuum attachment.

I have a Huskey mix service dog and this tool helps cut down on the hair he looses. I feel better now when we enter a business that little hair is left behind. My dog loves the way the soft fingers massage his skin as I vacuum his body.

I've been working on my dogs getting used to the Shop Vac noise for some time, and sure enough - they accepted their first vaccuuming yesterday! I also ordered a set from another company that was cheaper and had different shapes. The Shop Vac tool is hands down better! The white prongs are a soft rubber type material and the dogs liked the feel of it. When I tried the more rigid tool from another company, they were "No thanks - vacing and sharp points are not tolerable!"
If you have a Shop Vac and want to vac your dogs, give this a try.
UPDATE: WOW! Truly, I am amazed! I have had to vac every day because of my Lab mix and the worse shedding problem I've ever seen! I have now gone TWO DAYS without needing to vac! This is amazing! I never expected this type of results...and feel the need to vac although its not needed! LOL

I find it funny when someone says 'my dog doesn't shed', which is true for some breeds. However, ALL dogs lose hair, just like people, and they got a few more follicles. Anyway, I would recommend this product to those with a shed-free dog, much like a comb/brush for us people. For those folks with proud and adaptable breeds that build up a thick undercoat then drop it, this is a GREAT TOOL!

The grooming tool I purchased from Amazon does a wonderful job of taking the hair off my Corgi when I brush him. It used to fly all over the house unless I did it outside. He almost falls asleep while I groom him using a shredder and brush and then the vacuum tool. Because it has the nubs on it, it does not suck down to his skin but still lifts the hair out. Love it! Product arrived in record time.
