Ok first the good since I think most people won't care about the sound level:
It works well enough as both blower and vacuum.

It's a shop vac. I don't see anything about it to make it stand out above the crowd though.

If you just want a shop vac that matches the power rating and hose diameter with a drain, then it serves its purpose quite adequately.

Now for the one extra item I thought might make it a better choice for me:

See those 2 words?
"Super Quiet"?
No!
Wrong!
It is not quiet at all.
Super quiet would be a whisper or at least a soft roar.
This is is not quieter than any other shop vac I have ever heard.

I bet some marketing goon thought that 0.001 decibel quieter counts as "super" quiet.
Personally I'm quite sick of this sort of BS, but I don't think there is much that can be done about it.

Easy to assemble.

I chose this Shop-Vac to perform multiple functions. It picks up cat and dog hair, cobwebs and other small debris in my garage and tool shed. Water can be sucked up which is important to me because I live in a 100 year flood plain. The 12 Gallon tank is a good capacity. The drain makes it easy to empty out the water, I can just drain it into one of my garden beds which are always thirsty. Although I rarely use a blower, it does come in handy from time to time.
The 18 ft. cord provides a wide range of activity.

Hello. My old 'shop vac' of 7years was passed on to son.bought this new vacuum, and am very happy with it's addtional power.It's design was an improvment over older model too.

We have owned this shop vac for many years. I have liked it very much. I may try another that has gotten 6 Five star reviews. Hope I like it as much as its other reviewers do.

This shop vac did the job. Cobwebs were not as easy I would have expected, detaching the blower is a two hand job vs. the one handed job the other vac's reviewers rave about.

It's a good vac and has lasted us probably 10 years. Motor has finally burnt out, probably abuse on our part. It is a LOUD vac, even the blower is very loud. I never questioned it. It's a shop vac, I expected it.

Although I have only had the shop vac for a short while, it is performing well, doing all that I expected it to do. It seems well designed. You will need to order the assessories separately if you want to use it to clean you car, etc. D. Johnson, Austin, TX

Seriously, when you actually want something to suck and it doesn't. This is not only noisy, but it does a horrible job. It couldn't even suck up a candy wrapper.Not only that but the pieces don't fit together well. We had a Rigid before and it was much better. Luckily Amazon agreed to take this back for us and give us a refund. We love amazon, but Shop Vac let us down.

I am very pleased with this purchase. It is more than the description states. The suction power is fantastic and, used with the great selection of tools that came with this unit. The high-volume blower unit that detaches from the unit is very effective and can be used indoors or out. It moves easily and is very easy to handle. I highly recommend it!
