Shop-Vac 9633400 Ultra Pro 12-Gallon Wet/Dry Vacuum with Detachable Blower

Experience two powerful units in one with this Shop-Vac 9633400 Ultra Pro wet/dry vacuum and yard-blower combo.

Cleans Wet/Dry Messes and Spills

The versatile unit functions as a standard wet/dry vacuum that can handle a wide range of messes--from spilled potting soil or sawdust from cutting lumber, to oil spills from the car, or water leaks in the basement.

The unit's large 12-gallon-capacity tank and 6.5-peak horsepower motor ensure quick cleanup, while its 18-foot power cord, side tank handles, and top carry handle make it easy to transport the vacuum from the garage to the vehicle parked in the driveway, down to the basement or workshop and back again. The Ultra Pro vacuum makes cleaning messy spills an effortless endeavor.

Doubles as a Yard Blower

In addition to cleaning wet and dry messes, the vacuum comes with a detachable yard blower (just pull up on the motor and attach the blower wand). Use the blower for cleaning leaves from flower beds, for blowing the leaves into neat piles in the yard for kids to jump in (or adults to bag), for removing grass clippings from stairs and walkways after mowing, or for cleaning the garage floor or work-bench area. A 120-degree elbow accessory comes included, making it possible to use the blower to quickly clean out overhead gutters, too--no wobbly ladder necessary.

Convenient Accessories Included

The wet/dry vacuum with detachable blower comes with an array of handy accessories. Use the 8-foot-by-2-1/2-inch LockOn hose and 22-1/2-inch wands for extended reach and flexibility, the 14-inch floor nozzle for effective wide-reach pickup, the 120-degree elbow for cleaning gutters, and the crevice tool for accessing tight spots. The vacuum also comes with an 8-inch utility nozzle, an ergonomic elbow grip, a blower nozzle, and a concentrator nozzle. The included filters provide a cartridge filter with retainer and a disposable filter bag.

Assembled in the USA, the UL-listed wet/dry vacuum also provides a large easy-to-reach on/off switch, smooth-rolling casters, and on-board cord storage and accessory storage.

What's in the Box

Customer Reviews

It seems very powerful as a blower unit and as a vacuum.
DJN
After the hose came apart; and the tool holder proved unusable; and the motor assembly kept pulling off--then one of the caster mounts broke out leaving three wheels.
Boater
This shop Vac has great suction and is easy to assemble.

Purchased this Shop Vac (Shop-Vac 9633400) more than a year ago as I was preparing to put down a wood floor in a rather small room. Since then it's followed me through every DIY job I've chosen to punish myself with -- the regrouting of a master bathroom, numerous weekend woodworking garage projects, window-sill soot removal, furnace/AC ductwork cleanings (those elbows beneath the floor registers where all the little kiddie toys, dust balls and cupcake sprinkles collect). I've relied upon it for car carpet cleaning, doggie barf pickup, scraped-paint chip collection, and for thoroughly removing sawdust from the collection bags on my orbital sander and chop saw. Through all of it, this vacuum has sucked hard. And, on top of that, this vacuum really blows too. The easy removal of the blower portion converts the unit into a hand-held, electric leaf blower that's every bit as powerful (if not more so) than those gas-powered monsters used by professional landscapers to clear leaves and annoy the neighbors for blocks at 6 in the morning on summer Saturdays. For the record, this blower is not only quieter than the gas-powered ones, it also never works before 11 am on Saturdays because, well, neither do I. No homeowner should go without one of these.

My husband and I were refinishing over 3,000 square feet of hardwoods. You can imagine the mess. After a few attempts at trying to sweep and using a much less powerful shop vac, I gave in and went for the larger one with the accessories.

I just LOVE it! It picks up everything and does a great job on baseboards and hard to reach places. It was easy to assemble for me without reading the directions. I would highly recommend.

I bought one of these from another vendor and all works fine except the hose. When tools that restrict the air flow are used (e.g. crevice tool) the hose begins to collapse and kink, especially if the weather is warm or hot. The vacuum motor is simply too strong for the hose. I returned it and bought a similar one made by Ridgid from Home Depot. The HD one is similar to the Ridgid WD1670 16 Gallon Wet/Dry Vacuum with Detachable Blower but less expensive. There is no problem with the hose collapsing even in temps excess of 100F. Overall the Ridgid product is higher quality.

I purchased this for closing my pool. I have a smaller Shop-Vac as well. I chose this one to blow out the water from my lines so I do not have to remove water from my pool to get it below the input valve and the skimmer valve. I works great for that application. It also has plenty of power to vacuum up items. I use the smaller Shop-Vac to pick up water. I will also use this 6.5 peak HP Shop-Vac in my wood shop. It was easy to assemble with a snap-in tool holder and four screws for the legs that hold the rollers. Couldn't be easier to assemble. I guess that's the beauty of Shop-Vacs, simple but very useful and this one is quite powerful. It comes with accessories for standard vacuum functions, leaf blowing and removing leaves from gutters. My only issue is the tool holder doesn't hold all the tools. There are too many.

This Shop-Vac is small and has decent power but, the basic problem with this product is it is made far too cheaply.

The tool caddy is far to weak and flexable to the point of being useless. The caddy falls off or breaks away easily. The cord caddy portion tends to block taking the top on and off, which you need to do to empty out dirt and to store away the hose.

Some of the basic design engineering appears sound before use but, during use you'll quickly determine that the product was never tested by the manufacturer as many design defects present themselves.

While most of the parts would otherwise be useful, they are made far too thin to be durable.

Craftsman shop vacs are still better made and far less expensive.

This machine fits perfectly in my shop. Plenty of suction and capacity. Blower was a surprise, but a very good additional feature. Compliment of tools was also a surprise, but very useful. Unit was a good buy.
The free shipping from Amazon was a good selling point.

Saw a better value unit from a competitor after buying this model. The tool holder is junk, and I tossed it during assembly. The hose seperated from the tool connector almost immediately, I reconnected it with adhesive. When trying to pick the unit up by the handles--the motor (blower) assembly separates from the tank. The only positives I can report are: 1) uses the same filter as my larger garage vacuum, and 2) provides good suction.

Update: This unit may be the worst item I've ever purchased on Amazon. After the hose came apart; and the tool holder proved unusable; and the motor assembly kept pulling off--then one of the caster mounts broke out leaving three wheels. This caster failure occurred after only light usage! I waited too long to apply for a return. That was my second mistake after choosing this model in the first place.

I bought this shop vac to replace my 29 year-old Craftsman vac that finally gave up the ghost.

I am extremely disappointed in this thing, since the canister filter clogs so easily. My old Craftsman had a large filter with deep pleats and would run forever without clogging. This new Shop-Vac canister filter is a lot smaller with very tight pleats. As a result, if you are vacuuming something dusty (duh!) the filter quickly clogs and the suction power goes away.

I think this is a fundamental design flaw and I would not recommend this product. Maybe I can find a replacement fan somewhere and repair my old vac.
