As a marriage and family therapist myself, this has been a wonderful book and resource for so many of my clients. I believe that this book is relevant for all long-term relationships. Many of my clients have found this book easy to follow, enlightening and full of informative tips about what makes our relationships work. I am so happy to see that this book exists for gay couples. Committed relationships are complicated. This book is a great resource to help keep partnerships solid. A great gift idea. I own the earlier edition and plan to give this new edition to friends who are moving in together.

I had read the original "Guide to a Happy Marriage" and found it helpful in my relationship with my husband. I recently bought the Gay edition of the book for my brother and his partner as an anniversary gift. My brother just called me to tell me that he absolutely loved the book! He found the insights on how to deal with the family stresses of coming out to be extremely helpful. He thought the suggestions were very inspiring and simple to follow.
