Combining up-to-date writing techniques with APA-style, this brief guide will help readers master the skills necessary for writing in psychology. This guide takes readers step-by-step through the writing process—from researching psychological literature, to choosing a topic, all the way through writing, formatting, and presenting their findings in written and oral formats. Special attention is given to interpreting and reporting the results of statistical tests, as well as preparing data displays in tables and figures. This guide also provides practical tips for more general types of writing encountered in psychology and the other social sciences. Ideal for individuals who need to learn the required writing style for professional writing in APA style.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must-have for psych majors, December 15, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This book is very simple and easy to read. Describes and outlines how to write in the APA style and it's a book that I have referred back to constantly when writing papers for all of my psych courses. I also have the Publication Manual of the APA but this book is much more concise and easier to understand. Would highly recommend for psych majors or others needing to write papers in APA style.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Helpful Guide, Essential for Students and New Writers in Psychology, December 27, 2010
This book was very comprehensive, easy to read, and easy to reference while learning to write an APA style research paper. I highly recommend it to students in research or experimental psychology classes, and those who are preparing manuscripts for publication for the first time.
