I seldom read everything an author writes, but Karen Armstrong is exceptional. She writes comprehensively in terms of what she covers, writes well, and is very clear.

Decent book, good if you need it for a college class, but I would not recommend it if you are looking for something to read for pleasure. Instead, I would look for a different more in-depth book.

Karen Armstrong's books are always interesting and I learn something new after reading each one. This book is no exception. Ms. Armstrong takes us through both well-known and obscure myths (obscure for me!), and discusses their origins and significance. Well worth reading!
