Book Description

January 14, 2007
Stories and metaphors are as old as language itself. Used to teach and illuminate from our cave dwelling past to the Bible, then through hypnotherapy and NLP, metaphors have guided us to look at the world in a different way by introducing new perspectives and insight. Following his decades in advertising, marketing and as a fully trained and very experienced hypnotherapist, John Smale has put together a number of stories and metaphors that have worked to help people to resolve a huge range of problems. This book, written and told as if by an old story teller, will change your view of yourself and others and will add brightness to your life.

The ultimate in NLP metaphors

These metaphors and short stories are very appropriate for therapists and readers who wants to find a different approach to finding answers. For others, it is entertaining and mature. Highly recommended book.

More About the Author

John Smale is an author who specialises in books about hypnosis, hypnotherapy and NLP. He has been a practising therapist since 1995 and has treated thousands of people for panic, phobias, stress, anger and other anxiety related disorders.

He has, in his past, suffered from panic attacks and therefore writes and gives his guidance and advice with a real sense of empathy.

John Smale is enthusiastic to explain to therapists and their clients/patients that results are easier to achieve than we are led to believe. Some therapies border on the absurd and others on the ridiculous.

What John wants explains are the straightforward and highly effective methods that take into account the wellbeing of both the therapist and the people they treat.

Simple is never stupid. Effectiveness is always the goal.

As a practicing therapist of many, many years he has a deep understanding of problems, their causes and their treatment.

As an author John writes in a way that is easily understood and he includes humor, one of the greatest medicines ever.
