5.0 out of 5 stars Happy Orchid Growers!
Even though it is winter we were able to order and receive this orchid with the help of the heat packs, AWESOME!
The plant came green and growing. We repotted it soon after arrival and it is thriving.
We now are waiting for the blossoms. :~)

1.0 out of 5 stars it did not make it
I received this plant along with 2 other Hirts house plants in the same mail order. I received this plant along with 2 other Hirts house plants in the same mail order. This supposedly easy to care of orchid was the most difficult to revive among the other 2 (The other 2 are Gynura and FlapJack cactus.) First, the plant came off its pot when it was packaged because the pot is too small for its roots. I repotted it to a bigger pot with brand new multi-purpose soil and a clean pot. I put it near my balcony window where it can receive good amount of sunlight. It didn't show signs of growth or problems for the first month. Then one branch started to turn brown and I read about this symptom on the web that it might be because of a plant fungus. I cut that brown branch off. Then there were some signs of growth since I saw a little new leaf was trying to emerge, but very soon, I saw another brown spot that grows bigger really quickly. I cut that brown spot off, too. But very soon, most of the plant turn brown and I had to throw the plant away. I had this plant for about 6 months. It is a disappointing purchase.
