Barry and Hilda Anderson have been in the travel journalism business for more than 35 years and have written more than 1,500 articles for magazines and newspapers, including Better Homes and Gardens, Travel and Leisure, Modern Maturity, The Denver Post, Los Angeles Times, and Chicago Sun-Times. Hilda has written the "Short Trips column for the Seattle Post-Intelligencer for 17 years. They have also contributed to such major travel series as Fodor's, Shell Auto Club, and Fischer's USA. Both are past presidents of the Society of American Travel Writers. They live on Washington's Quimper Peninsula.
