4.0 out of 5 stars Short-range Wireless Telecommunications, March 11, 2007
This review is from: Short-range Wireless Communication, Second Edition: Fundamentals of RF System Design and Application (Communications Engineering) (Paperback)
This is a good book to give you an overview of the topic, but do not expect any indepth coverage. There is also a demo version of Mathcad, useful with the worksheets provided.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Book For Engineers and Technicians, June 26, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Short-range Wireless Communication, Second Edition: Fundamentals of RF System Design and Application (Communications Engineering) (Paperback)
The CD for this version DOES work, the last version was published by a different publisher and didn't work but this one is great! This book covers the a-z's of the short range wireless communication. It starts out with coverage of the radio signal propagation, communications protocols and modulation methods, information theory, antennas and transmission lines, receivers, transmitters, radio system design, and; ends up with how to successfully implement a short-range wireless system - This book is an A++

This review is from: Short-range Wireless Communication, Second Edition: Fundamentals of RF System Design and Application (Communications Engineering) (Paperback)
Its a good introduction into wireless communcation in general. It is the starting point of a more detailed investigation into 802.11.2 or 802.14.4.
