Fine Fake, May 30, 2008

A fine recording of the 4th (more gay than threatening here) and equally so of the little heard Scarlatti-DSCH pieces. Alas, it's neither live nor a Czech broadcast but a straight copy from a Melodiya/BMG 2 CD set. As you can read about in great detail on "DSCHjournal", most of these "Chant du Monde" releases mis-attribute live performances to extant live or studio recordings. Perhaps a trick of Czech radio to receive royalties for product that was never theirs.
