Why Did This Series Stop?,
By
This review is from: Shot on Location (Goodman-Bradley Mystery) (Paperback)
I still have all four in the series and was sure I would enjoy many more in the future. Then the author disappeared and the series dried up. I occasionally search for a new effort but now know it's not going to happen. Have never found any reason (author dying, retiring etc) why the author stopped. Loved the protaganists and their give and take. From searching for the author I believe that the books were contract jobs and there was no Stan Cutter. Wish they would resurrect the series. All examples were A or A minius efforts.

Shoot me!,

This one was very Marlon Brando; the brother shoots his sister's lover because he suspects the lover is abusing his sister. Strange plots twists.

An entertaining whodunit with a great sense of humor,

A witty romp with two heroes having very different approaches to life and investigating. Lots of references to 90's media and political characters, which will either date this book in a few decades or make it a nostalgic favorite. Some untypical (possibly unrealistic) actions from cops and mobsters, but who am I to quibble? The wrapup is a little slow, but overall, it's delightful reading. The alternating first person usage is done very skillfully.
