There may be a few added scenes, but for all intent and purpose the DVD episodes are the same and just as censored as when they were shown on MTV. If you're looking for an uncensored version of the show, like the Flavor of Love DVD, you won't find it here.

Is this a classy show? Not a chance.Do I feel more intellectual after watching it? Definitely not.Is it scripted? Probably.So,why watch? I liked the drama! Especially the cat fights.
A dating reality show about a woman who wants to find love.Yet,she can't decide between men or women,because (shocking of all shocks) she is Bisexual!So both are competing for her heart!
While this dvd version doesn't show nudity,it does not bleep out any words,so you get the full experience.And it includes the reunion,so you get to see what happened after the show ended.
I didn't even know who Tila Tequila was when I started watching this,and for the most part,I still don't.
But this show was very entertaining.
Is season two ever going to come out on DVD???

The highest rated show on MTV in years, "A shot at love" is a reality dating show with a twist. Usually the bachelor/ette on these is overseeing a gaggle of suitors trying to win his or her attention. The twist here is that Telia, a rapper/actress/internet celebrity is bisexual and willing to consider a male or female partner.

Because the suitors are competing across genders this throws off everyone's game. I mean as a guy, I know what the rules are when competing against another guy for a woman's atteniton, but do the same rules hold when the competion isn't a guy? Who knows and that adds the fresh twist to this.

As teams and indivduals the suitors compete in a rediculous series of contests, such as who can eat the most bull genitals, who can rub the most melted chocolate on their bodies etc , with the prize being alone time with Tila.

Each episode ends with the traditional elimination ceremoney and these rapidly became infamous in pop culture for the responses of some rejected suitors.

As a guilty pleasure this is a fun watch. One of those that will probably have you saying "Why am I watching this this?" but you still won't reach for the remote to turn it off.

If there is a down side, and why I only give it 3 stars? Look at the title. "First season" before they even finished airing the first season, they were casting the second season which really makes you call into question whether Tila is more concerned with finding fame for herself than love.

I love this show! I wish Tila would make another one. All of the deleted and bonus scenes you get is amazing!

Best show on MTV we lgbt community need to be out and have rights and ppl need to start to be accepting

I love trash TV! And if you are unpretentious, love drama, and like to watch people make fools of themselves, you just struck yourself a gold mine. This is one of the most compulsively watchable, fun and mind-numbingly euphoric experiences you can buy for under fifty bucks.

Great like bachlor only with lesbians and guys perfect for bisexual females. I love this show. now only if they made season 2 :(

What do I mean by that? I mean this show is a farce. MTV tells all of the morons that watch their idiotic network (that no longer has any connection to music) that Tila Tequila is this hot commodity. Have any of you really looked at this haggard supertramp? Tattoos on her biceps, slightly below average looks, no education, no class... come on. If that's what you want head to Times Square.

This show is complete garbage. Ok ill admit, I've watched episodes from time to time, because it is entertaining if nothing else, to watch these people make complete fools of themselves, and to see Tila fall "in love" (please!) but seriously...do these people have no morals whatsoever? Now I'm no saint by any means, but I can't help but cringe when I see the actions of some of these people. Is this what people will really resort to for their five minutes of fame? And an even better question...do these people HAVE parents? And really...its one thing to watch this show while its on TV, but there's people out there who actually purchase the DVDs?

Now I may seem a bit hypocritcal because I am a fan of some reality shows such as "Laguna Beach" and "The Hills" where the characters will sometimes do questionable things, but I feel there's a difference between reality shows like that (they are really more a teen drama that they for some reason felt like slapping a reality show sticker on) and reality dating shows.

Now I wouldn't go so far as to say that this show is as bad as MTV's "My Super Sweet Sixteen" (I don't think anything can top a show about a bunch of spoiled kids whining about how they deserve everything their hearts desire) but when it comes down to it, "a shot at love with tila tequila" is just another reason for why so many countries hate americans

It is entertainment, simple. Yes it is fun to watch these people make fools of themselves. It is fun to see the drama. Sure it is staged just like professional wrestling, but it is still fun. I give it 4 stars for entertainment, but it is not completely uncensored... The best parts of the video (the ladies) are still censored. I like how one reviewer put it... Who doesn't like seeing two hot women making out?... That is exactly the appeal of this series. Have fun!
