Editorial Reviews

Hot Shots! (1991) Charlie Sheen, Lloyd Bridges, Cary Elwes, Valeria Golino and Jon Cryer co-star in director Jim Abrahams' (Airplane, Naked Gun) truly hilarious spoof of Top Gun. Recruited to join a top-secret mission for the Air Force, a renegade pilot (Sheen) finds himself coping with an incompetent admiral (Bridges) and a carefully selected squadron of flyers who are competition with the corps' model of military perfection (Elwes) for the heart of the base's sultry psychiatrist (Golino). Hot Shots!: Part Deux (1993) In this hilarious Hot Shots! sequel, former renegade pilot Topper Harley (Charlie Sheen) is once again recruited for a secret mission. This time the country's incompetent president (Lloyd Bridges) sends him to the Middle East to rescue U.S. hostages and the countless men who have already been sent in to rescue them. Pining for his former lover (Valeria Golino) in a Buddhist temple, Topper manages to pull himself together and sets out on this laugh-filled, action-packed task.

4.0 out of 5 stars A legendary comedy. November 13, 2012
By KevinB
Format:DVD
There isn't a whole lot you can say about these 2 movies. They are probably some of the most ridiculous films ever made. There were times when I things couldn't get more insane. They did. To top it off they made a freakin' sequel. There are very few movies out there that will make you laugh like these. If that's what you're after then the Hot Shots double feature is a great buy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Combo March 7, 2012
Format:DVD|Verified Purchase
Unlike many combo movies these two are a match and some of the funniest spoof movies of all times. When I found the combo with both movies in it I knew I had to have it. I ordered it on Monday and by Tuesday evening I was watching the movies.

4.0 out of 5 stars its the double pack! June 2, 2014
Format:DVD|Verified Purchase
Slapstick stupidity at its finest. these are classic spoof comedies. Charlie Sheen is great in these movies. these aren't naked gun or airplane quality but pretty close. A lot laughs and fun for hours. If you enjoy the scary movie series, top secret ,naked gun series, airplane etc this is right up your ally

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Show, Good Deal. May 13, 2014

This is a real value for money. I watched this show many years ago and watching again, I am still laughing at all the funnies and jokes. Charlie Sheen and Lloyd Bridges at their comical best.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very funny May 3, 2014
Format:DVD|Verified Purchase
No matter how many times I see these movies, I never get tired of then. I have lost count of how many times I have seen these movies over the past 20 years (yes, they really are that old) but every time I watch them, I still laugh at the jokes as if it were the first time I had ever heard them.
