Biography

Some music is intended to paint a romantic scene - a candlelit dinner, a walk along a moonlit beach. Quiet Nights - Diana Krall's twelfth album - ain't about that. Using Brazil as a musical point of reference, the award-winning pianist and singer is not suggesting a night out; she means to stay in.

"It's not coy. It's not 'peel me a grape,' little girl stuff. I feel this album's very womanly - like… Read more in Amazon's Diana Krall Store

5.0 out of 5 stars Classic Krall, what more can I say?, October 2, 2007

I bought this sampler to complete my Diana Krall collection. I believe I've got everything she's done - and heck, for under $5 bucks, you can't beat the price.

Please note: this is "I Should Care" not "Why Should I Care" (I bought the other CD on accident before I found this one, which seems to be exclusive on Amazon). The description above is exactly accurate. The CD is about a half hour long. You get the full song, two snippets, and the NPR interview.

It's really fun for me to listen to her talk about her music, her method, her style, her favorite songs - I'm a huge NPR fan, and love interviews of accomplished artists, especially musical artists. I understand this may not be for everyone, but I really enjoy it.

It's a rare CD with an interview with Diana Krall comments about her work with Klaus Ogermann.
A must have for collectors.
