La Jill brings the drama!, December 11, 2005
"Shoulda Woulda Coulda" was an easy and interesting read. It is the story of a young woman named Paige. Paige is dealing with so much from an unfaithful mama's boy of a man and baby father, Marlon. Marlon's psycho drunk mama Ms. Lucille, who Paige has a fight with (too funny) and who wants nothing to do with Paige or her grandbaby Myla. Not to mention Paige recently lost a child...I really felt for her. I'm glad thing turned out the way they did. Very good read!

(RAW Rating: 3.5) - Life does not rewind, June 13, 2006
Paige Michaels takes a good look at her life over the last seven years. Pros: she has a seven-year-old daughter, a college degree, a dream home, two cars, and a man who is a good provider and an awesome lover. The Cons: He has not married her, he is a mama's boy, his mother hates her and he insists Paige's place is at home with their daughter.
Marlon and Paige met in college, fell in love and became a couple in almost every way. Seven years of expecting Marlon to marry her has worn Paige down. An altercation with his mother is the straw that breaks Paige's back; she moves out. What follows is a chain of dramatic events that will rock several people's world. Marlon, as expected, sides with his mom, lies about a relationship without his neighbor and begs Paige to come back home. Paige, not ready to go back to Marlon, gets a job, cuts her hair --something Marlon forbade, and starts dating. Tired of doing what everyone expects and tired of explaining herself, she creates her own drama. When secrets in Marlon's family closet surface, Paige finds the strength to do something she should have done a long time ago.
SHOULDA, WOULDA, COULDA by La Jill Hunt is a drama filled read with all the unsavory emotions that parallel too much family interference, too many lies and too little commitment. Mostly it is a challenging tale of what happens when a woman realizes she has invested all of her emotions in one institution. What would have been a plus for me is if some of the secondary characters were a little tighter. Naturally, with all of the drama, this story does not have a predictable ending; in fact there are some surprises that will leave you opened mouth. Readers will experience a serious storyline with some sobering situations. I enjoyed this read and yes it had me shaking my head.

Wouldna, Never, Ever, January 9, 2007
Paige, Paige, Paige what can I say. I guess she was living for a dollar and a dream thinking Marlon would marry her. It took getting held down and beat up to find out she wasted her time with him because he is a momma's boy. But the things he does for his momma doesn't make sense! Why would he marry a chick that he didn't love or want just to please his momma? Why would he put his children and happiness on hold for his momma's sack. Lucille was an evil woman and wrong to tell the lies that she did. Even after finding all that out Marlon stuck with her. See that's what I mean something is wrong with that. Did she do voodoo on him or what? Paige finds some happiness in the end but of course she stepped on some squirrels during the way. Celeste is another evil being that needs to be settled. Hopefully the sequal will put her in her place but I have a feeling there will be much more drama in store for Ms. Paige before all is said and done.
