I just an arthroscopic rotator cuff repair including reattachment of the supraspinatus and infraspinatus tendons, subacromial decompression including distal clavicle excision and acromial excision with removal of the bursa, and biceps tenodesis performed using a keyhole shape drilled into the humeral head. Some recent slight calcification had also to be removed, along with a subacromial bone spur. This book and DVD told and showed exectly what was done, with the exception of the keyhole tenodesis. I am delighted that this book was available to me because not knowing in detail what happened to me while anaesthetized was frustrating. The DVD was clear and informative. I'm a 59-year-old MWF who took "Greek and Latin Origins of Medical Terms" at UW-Madison for fun many years ago, and that has stood me in good stead.

An excellent well organized book with a lot of new details on Shoulder Arthroscopy, neccesary for all serious Orthopaedics around the world, writting by a lot of famous Shoulder Arthroscopists from USA and Europe. New ideas on when to do and how to do an arthroscopy and details on Post-operative rehabilitation protocols. I was very glad to meet Dr. Felix H. Savoie, one of the co-author of the book at 3nd Chirurgique Seminar of Upper Extremity, held at Thessaloniki, State of Macedonia, Greece, on 7-8 April 2006. Dr F.H.Savoie,III is a genious, very impressive arthroscopist and great teacher and specially a very kind person who answer to all questions from a lot of surgeons and also gave a full post-op protocol as he did in this book.
