2.0 out of 5 stars Throwing Knives
When I recieved the throwing knives the case they come in was broken. So when I tried to return it Amazon would only give me a refund. It was too much of a pain in the butt to return it get my refund, then turn around and buy another one again. They shouldve just let me return it, and send me a new one. So now I have a broken case for them that doesnt hold them fully.

These are great Knives! I got them within a week of ordering them.

The Knives: They look really cool and have a "barbed" shape. They didn't really come sharp but they don't need to be they just need a good pointy tip, which these have. The Blade if actualy only about 2 and a half inches. But that provides lots of room for your hand. These aren't really "Stainless" Steel but they resist scratching, And have been dropped on concrete, rock and asphalt and are fine. The holes on the handle make for a good measuring system as far as where to put your fingers. They are weighted perfectly! and can be balanced on your fingertip (if you have a steady hand).

The Harness: The Harness is made from light-weight smokey smelling plastic. Fairly cheap and is not held together very well. But with a few modifacations can become a thigh sheath. It has a slightly curved shape which helps. If done properly it provides a easly reachable (and cool looking) sheath. The knives are held in the sheath by small magnets, which aren't that strong. Overall the sheath stinks, But the nylon holsters for the mini-mag flashlights, if pressed flat make an excelent sheath if you need to cary just one at a time. And can be easly put into a pocket or purse or be strapped to a calf or forearm.

These are great knives and I would recomend them to anyone who is looking for a good set of knives to start this exciting Hobby with. Or has a friend who just like sharp objects.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Quality, Loads of fun, March 18, 2010

These knives are very fun to throw and after throwing them all afternoon and dropping them on concrete and gravel they have no scratches. The points are nice and sharp, the edges aren't but they aren't supposed to be. The case isn't that useful, but I'm not very concerned about that. All in all great value. Highly recommend if you just want some fun, cheap, entry level throwers.

4.0 out of 5 stars Awesome throwing knives, June 21, 2011
This review is from: Shoulder Harness Throwing Knife Triple Set, Molded Nylon She (Misc.)
I've seen this set all over amazon and as cheap as 7 bucks. Don't let the price fool you, these knives are surprisingly great quality. I've had mine for about a year. They're great for learning how to throw. They are kind of small, which makes them slightly more difficult to throw, but I like the size because they are easier to conceal.

The sheath is decent too. When I first got them, it wasn't all that snug on one side, so the knife kept falling out, but you can take it off the strap and readjust it to where the knives face up. It is completely unnoticeable under a vest or a jacket, and in an area where a cop probably won't pat you down. Not that I'm suggesting anything illegal, but if you WERE to become an IRL ninja, these would be the knives to use.

On the downside, the blades have chipped slightly, but not enough that I can't grind it out. Considering that these babies have survived two Christmases, and that most throwing knives of this price range rarely last me over a few months without snapping in half, I think that's pretty impressive. The little thingy on the sheath that clips on to your belt has gotten too weak to clip right, but again, lasted me over a year.

So all in all, these are great knives with a pretty alright sheath. There's nothing else like the badass harness on the market, from what I've seen. It's got some downsides, but they're all easy fixes if you know how.

With love,
Your IRL ninja.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect. Excelling in EVERY way., September 12, 2010

First off, for a 20 dollar set of throwing knives, I' d put my money these can hang with the top dollar ones. where a knife thrower should get decent at each variety and size of different knives, these are the perfect starters by a landslide. I have thrown these things thousands upon thousands of times, and they never cease to deliver each time. Sure they will have a little wear and dings after a good day of practice, but with a steady hand the blades can be sharpened right back to normal. Which is an Excellent plus in my book. It does state that these particular throwing knives are SS (Stainless Steel), I would say more along the lines of 440 reg. steel. Which is a good starter steel. Like I say, your are, by certain, getting your dollars worth people. Once you get good with these, I would then put the extra dollars down for high carbon, (5160, 1095) where the rewards are greater. But you spend twice as much.

Point? These knives wont let you down. Period. You can trust in THIS particular 440. It will deliver.,

Lastly, people have trouble with their harness and holster, where the knives get loose after a couple in & outs. As did I.
Easy fix. Buy you some 550 paracord, and tie it through the holes provided on the holster. Making it easy to strengthen the blades together, securing them snug & tight.

New to most of the throwing weapons, these are by far my favorite would have been 5 stars, just don't care for the holster they come with. After several times of removing they start to come out too easy, and worried they'll fall out if mounted upside down(which is easiest when attached to yourself) for pulling them out in hurry. I'll try to figure another way to do it but for now my favorite so far.

4.0 out of 5 stars Decent, August 22, 2010

These are okay knives, from what I know. They come nice and sharp, though a little dirty. I suggest washing them with soap before really handling them. They're a nice weight and length, and stick well into a target. The little protrusions on the sides in the middle of the knives are rather annoying, but aside from that, and the garbage case, they're fine.

I got the knives within 2 Business Days of ordering (Expedited). They were quite fun, although, one bounced wrong and hit a rock, causing a 15 degree bend in the point. Also, one of the knives went missing in the tall grass which took over an hour to find. Very fun for beginners! The holster isn't something to write home about. It has screwy magnets holding it in and it isn't very reliable when doing anything but standing still, this is because it is holding the knives upside down. Good quality knives, okay holster, fantastic shipping, all-in-all a great buy.

ok i like this item but the knifes or not aerodynamics and got lucky to get them stuck in wood once. but i'm not going to lie i like it it looks really cool wearing it but if you notice on the picture one blade looks weird like it is pushed down on the sheath well that part of the sheath is not made right and what ever knife is in there will fall out but caues the sheath is spit on that part but i put some gorilla glue on that part and now i have no problems with it but the knifes are made of cheap metal and the very first time i threw the knife they bent that realy pissed me off but i'm cool now caues the glue but i urge you that this is not the best product out there and you can find something better out there but like the saying go's you get what you pay for
