These are rollicking, zany poems illustrated by Sashiko Yoshikawa and filled with action and adventure, going far beyond the usual sedate poem to fill kids with excitement about the possibilities of poetry and relating poems to familiar kid topics.

All ages will love this book of poems. I have met this author at a workshop and he likes for his poems to be acted out. So practice with your family, pick your favorites, and put on a show!

The poems and illustrations in this book are wonderful. You can't go wrong with this selection. My 4 1/2 year old son's personal favorite is titled " The Spice of Life", which is an ode to ketchup. :-) Enjoy!
