This the 4th CD by Oysterband that I have purchased, and once again they have not let me down. Of special note: "Lovers In A Dangerous Time," "Our Lady of the Bottles," and "Don't Slit Your Wrists For Me." A little humor from the Oysters is always good. As long as they put out music like this, I'll keep buying their CDs.

One word can describe this CD..."Excellent". My exposure to the Oyster Band began around three months ago when I purchased "Deep Dark Ocean" and I was simply amazed with the talent of these five musicians. I followed that purchase with "Trawler", and now with the "Shouting End of Life". Three (3) CD's, 38 songs, and only one (1) that I could not relate too. The Shouting End of Life combines rock with folk and a touch of Celtic for added flavor. The mix makes for outstanding music and when combined with the lyrics, you have a CD well worth buying. The Oyster Band Rules!!! |
