4.0 out of 5 stars Enjoy Neil Sedaka!
For the slightly older DVD viewer, & especially Neil Sedaka fans from the 60's & 70's, this is a very enjoyable DVD - you can sing along & remember your nostalgic past. Also, considering the Amazon price, it represents excellent value for money, partly because the DVD must have almost every song Sedaka ever wrote & recorded.
Buy & enjoy!

3.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable!
A bit too rehearsed, but well photographed with good sound quality, and a great interview given as a bonus.

5.0 out of 5 stars Neil Sedaka like a bottle of wine, May 14, 2007

This review is from: The Show Goes On: The Very Best of Neil Sedaka - Live at the Royal Albert Hall (DVD)
After going to a Neil Sedaka concert recently in my area
(apr 2007) i went online to see what was available. There i discovered Neil doing Albert Hall in London. He, like a bottle of wine has aged phenominally. His voice is better than ever. His enthusiasm is contagious. He manages to bring a vibrancy to his old hits. Just watching him do Amarillo was worth purchasing this DVD.

Neil Sedaka, in my mind, is an understated performer in that he is not overly showy or loud...he is an extremely talented songwriter and his music will live on and on. This is a very enjoyable DVD and one that you will watch over and over.

I have two of Neil Sedaka's concert DVDs, and this one is the best. It includes those great singable lyrics of his 1960s hits. The songs are not edited down, and Neil displays his usual enthusiasm in entertaining his audience. I also have a DVD entitled Neil Sedaka--Live in Concert at the Jubilee Hall, but it is not as good as this one, The Show Goes On. My after school music students in grades four through seven enjoyed seeing him perform the songs they were introduced to previously. If you enjoy his music you can't go wrong in adding this concert to your collection.

5.0 out of 5 stars Neil Sedaka, a great performer after all these years!, January 4, 2009

After seeing this outstanding DVD, I anxiously await his return to the Phoenix area. This DVD reinforced my continued belief that he is one of the marvelous singer-song writers of the past six decades. His popularity dwindled in the USA after the Beatles came to light. In Europe he continued and still is a sought after performer. His influence on other artists is brought forth in this performance. His inclusion of other family members by name, through story or performance shows how he shares credit for his success. A wonderful, moving concert! Money well spent for personal entertainment!

5.0 out of 5 stars Must have for all Neil Sedaka fans!, October 31, 2006
This review is from: The Show Goes On: The Very Best of Neil Sedaka - Live at the Royal Albert Hall (DVD)
First, the correct title for this performance is "The Show Goes On - Live at the Royal Albert Hall." This is a stellar collection of 28 songs, including all the Sedaka favorites. The venue is equal to the quality of the performance, London's Royal Albert Hall. His solo performance is enhanced by a duet with his daughter, Dara, as well as one with Tony Christie. Buy and cherish!

Can this artist ever give a less than extraordinary performance? I was unaware of this recording and found it by accident...snf it's a treasure. Sedaka's sincerity as a performer is always evident and obvious. In this collection his ability to perform as a man without gimickry [a man and his piano] is hard to find in music today. As the years go by his voice just seems to get a little bit more warm, soft and mellow... like a fine wine. Neil.....don't ever go away. Don't ever tire of performing. You are a treasure!
